Job Description:
Leadership: Define the strategic direction of the Rates sales team.
Identify JPY and non-JPY rates business opportunities and set up for JPY and non-JPY rates team that we need to develop / strengthen.
Identify the clients who use these products and associated wallets.
Update priorities on the development and marketing of our strengths.
Build and strengthen relationships not only with hedge fund, leading banks, trust banks, and insurance companies, but also with non-life insurance companies, regional banks, Japan local and global asset management companies and a wide range of other financial institutions in order to stabilize and grow team sales credit through more volumes and diversification, and contribute to rates trading revenue.
Explore and originate business opportunities that are not limited to flow rates products but also other flow products and non-flow products including QIS and JGB repackage note in order to stabilize team revenues in collaborate with different business.
Continuous evaluation and adjustment of the sales team and client coverage in order to have the most impactful connectivity with clients and optimize the efficiency of the team measure as a combination of sales credit per sales head count and diversification of sales credit.
Sales Talent & Efforts: to pitch Societe Generale (“SG”) capabilities especially Global Research and Trading products, recruits new clients, identify their needs and trade with them, establish a durable and permanent relationship; not just concentrating on existing clients but also on new ones.
Market Intelligence: Knows his market, the needs of each client segment, what competitors do in terms of products - Feedback the information to management, other sales teams, trading teams and Engineering/Structuring teams to improve capabilities of our platform.
Reporting and Transparency: Regular reports meetings to various parties involved in coverage and all necessary stakeholders, enter information on client and meeting into our internal systems (IC or any other CMU) tools, report to necessary managers including Head of Asia Pacific Fixed Income(“FIC”) Sales, Head of FIC Japan and Head of Global Markets Sales in Japan and/or Business Managers (“BMO”) of sensitive incidents or transactions.
Major Accountabilities / Principal Responsibilities:
Thorough approach to sales strategy for JPY and Non-JPY Rates products and management control processes.
Communicate with clients on daily basis, and share market color, pitch SG capabilities and in particular anything that can help the improvement of our JPY and non-JPY rates product capabilities in collaboration with Asia, NY and Paris rates trading, sales and Japan Desks.
Achieve individual and team sales credit (“SC”) target/budget associated with the JPY and Non-JPY Rates business and other MARK products.
Create momentum, team spirit, around JPY and non-JPY products and solutions to achieve individual and entire team targets and objectives.
Work closely with trading teams (locally or globally), Japan desks, Financial Institutions Coverage team(“FIG”) and support and control functions to expand the business.
Work closely with other sales team to support SG entire products marketing activities especially listed derivatives, structured products and mutual fund distribution.
Work closely with Structuring team (“SPS”) to do originate JPY and non-JPY rates client demand for bespoke solution especially QIS.
Involve in all aspects of client onboarding, trading.
Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and audit requirements and established bank risk limits on the JPY and Non-JPY rates products.
