We are seeking a Marketing Manager for Kindle, Fire Tablet, and Fire Kids Tablet to drive brand growth in both the long and short term. You will understand the business goals and key performance indicators (KPIs), and incorporate them into effective marketing strategies and executions.

With a deep understanding of the product category landscape and consumer insights, you will make a significant contribution to brand building and demand generation.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, with a data-driven mindset and have a sense of ownership. You should be comfortable navigating ambiguity, have excellent attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This person can drive focus and excellence within the programs they own, collaborating closely with colleagues in marketing, product management, and across the broader Amazon organization.

Amazon has developed a number of innovative and fast-growing digital and mobile businesses, including Amazon Kindle, Fire Tablet, Fire TV, and Echo. Leveraging the strength of our product lines, you will build strategies and execute the marketing plan to grow Kindle, Fire Tablet, and Fire Kids Tablet sales through our various channels. You will effectively partner with the go-to-market lead, sales product manager, online marketing manager, and key stakeholders such as Kindle content, Amazon Appstore, and others.

The candidate must be fluent in Japanese. Business level English is required. This position will be based in Japan.

You are the perfect candidate for this role if:

  • You have experience in product marketing and/or marketing communications, leveraging both logical thinking and a creative mindset.
  • You have led projects, getting your hands dirty with day-to-day tasks and implementation of PDCA (plan-do-check-act) cycles in marketing.
  • You can juggle multiple priorities and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic, and often ambiguous environment.
  • You have experience in both long-term brand equity enhancement (e.g. local asset production) and short-term customer acquisition (e.g. performance marketing).
  • You are capable of coming up with unique ideas and effectively influencing stakeholders through both written and oral communication.
  • You are comfortable navigating and reconciling conflicting interests.

Key job responsibilities
- Develop an in-depth understanding of consumer insights to define the local brand strategy, aligned with the global brand positioning.
- Optimize brand and product positioning in collaboration with the go-to-market team.
- Build and execute marketing communication plans in line with the business calendar.
- Create reports for regional and global teams.
- Manage external stakeholders, including ad agencies and business partners.
- Manage the marketing budget and understand the financial implications of forecasts.
- Develop a marketing plan for coming years to request marketing budget.
- Execute performance marketing to generate demand with allocated budget.
- Interact effectively with other departments and teams to optimize marketing efforts, including points of sale.


応募資格(必須経験など)

基本条件
- 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion
- Experience managing and measuring marketing performance in various channels
