What You'll Do
You will coordinate the external and internal communications activities of cell, country, and/or region; specific responsibilities may include (but are not limited to)
Creating clear communications
You will create clear, structured, and engaging written communications products (e.g., memos, emails, short-form content, blogs, talking points/scripts,Q&A), that rigorously follow conventions of written English (and local languages when relevant) and align with firm leadership when necessary
You will contribute (through brainstorming, editing, writing, and/or creating) to the strategy development of external and/or internal communications (e.g., paid media, earned media, CRM support, social media support, web articles, websites, newsletters, messaging documents, presentations).
You will assist in the planning and execution of communications for reports, special projects (e.g., digital strategy design, know ledge partnership strategy), external/internal conferences, and events (e.g., forums, webinars, roundtables).
You will follow branding guidelines (i.e., Firm's signature voice, visuals, and narrative) across communications platforms and channels in support of relevant brand pivots.
Project management and execution
Your responsibility will be to perform relevant quality and risk reviews of communications, proactively identifying risks, raising them with colleagues and suggesting potential courses of action.
You will have to stay up-to-date on latest thought leadership and relevant industry content and insights, and ensure they are built into messaging strategically.
You will contribute to relevant data tracking and reporting within internal operations (e.g., establish processes in AirTable) and data collection for potential clients, providing updates to leadership when necessary.
You will build and maintain contact databases to maximize dissemination and engagement.

Qualifications
Native Japanese and effective communication skills in English across formats (e.g., written, verbal/presentation, digital-ready content)
Ability to work independently and entrepreneurially and see projects through from end-to-end
Ability to influence and direct colleagues, and manage needs of different stakeholders (including relevant senior leaders)
Ability to problem solve and recommend effective solutions
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously with attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational and project management skills
Ability to distill complex ideas into compelling narratives across different formats
Ability to collaborate well in teams and receive and provide feedback
Ability to exhibit core Firm values in attitude and work (e.g., owning development, driving work, demonstrating resilience)
Mastery of MS Office programs
Proficiency and fluency in verbal and written English is required;
Solid understanding of communications channels, program design, and delivery
Knowledge of global business and/or broad functional content and willingness to go deep into content if necessary
Broad skillset across relevant communication service lines and platforms (e.g., external/internal comms, media relations, executive communications, events)
Bachelor’s/university degree required
3+ years experience in a business communications-related field; a benefit if in a professional services environment, corporate communications role, government, or communications agency
