Responsibilities
Leadership and People Development (30%)
Develop and coach a diverse and high performing team of 5 including Category Managers, Partner Marketing and Account Manager. Attract new talent and retain key talent through coaching.
Orchestrate impactful collaboration across functions and teams in Japan GRS so each team member has clarity and energy to deliver impact, and where each team member feels included and can do their best work.
Impactful collaboration with Asia GRS Leadership Team and function leaders to mutually contribute towards business priorities.
Exert influence across functional and geographic boundaries
Japan GRS GTM Planning and Execution (30%)
Develop deep understanding of Gaming business landscape in Japan by proactively collecting and sharing voice of the consumer and voice of the partner back to Asia GRS leaders, to optimize support to achieving goals of today and future growth.
Lead Japan GRS rhythm of business cadence across functions that support Regional and WW planning processes. Ensure effectiveness of key account plans, operational sales processes and forecasting and GTM planning.
Own the Gaming Channel strategy for Japan, optimized by understanding the capabilities and unique value of each partner. Drive efficiencies and optimize profitability and sales by utilizing Gaming industry knowledge and Japan market knowledge.
Define strategies and recommendations to support the ongoing transform our GRS business in Japan and the growth opportunities that Xbox Anywhere vision will unlock in this market.
Grow sales of Digital Content and Subscriptions through e-distributors and retail partners. Build strategy and execution plans to accelerate Xbox Anywhere opportunity.
Channel & Account Management (30%)
Influence partners’ executives and engage Partners to execute new and strategic initiatives aligned to GRS goals
Lead GRS partnership, engagement and account plans with 2 retail accounts. Understand the unique value partners bring to the Gaming business and deliver against GRS performance goals.
Lead complex partner management negotiation for Japan GRS business and manage executive escalations by working closely with Asia GRS leadership team and function leaders.
Drive ease of doing business for our partners in alignment with Business and Sales Operations teams.
Future of Gaming - Xbox Anywhere Readiness (10%)
Lead the transformation of Xbox business and the future of Gaming in Japan. Define opportunities, strategies and recommendations to support Xbox Anywhere vision in Japan, across platforms, devices and partners.
Create a Xbox Anywhere narrative; act as an internal ambassador to influence Asia and Corp stakeholders as well as an external thought leader to influence partners executives, to gain sponsorship and support.
Connect with other GRS and Gaming leaders beyond Japan to understand latest best practices and position Japan as #1 Handheld market opportunity in the world.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
10+ years partner management, sales, business development, platform ecosystem/network, or category management in the Gaming, Technology, Entertainment or FMCG industries.
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
8+ years’ experience with planning, budgeting, and other project management activities.
5+ years of people management experience.
Bi-lingual in Japanese and English
Preferred Experience
Gaming industry experience.
Deep Experience in selling through Retail and Distribution partners. Understanding current and emerging consumer shopping trends or physical goods and digital products & services.
Proven track record of hiring, managing, inspiring and developing high-performance teams across various functions such as Sales, Marketing and Category Management.
Held strategic relationships with senior executives across Retailers and Distributors
Strong presentation skills to groups of all sizes and levels and a successful track record of influencing key stakeholders to drive business outcomes.
Track record of delivering Sales Budgets, P&L, Growth and other Success metrics.
