WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
You'll be part of the Event team and Client Impact Hub community in our McKinsey Japan office, located in Tokyo, and you will collaborate with various teams to manage and execute client outreach through events and programs.
You will work closely with stakeholders, including our partners, to ensure the successful execution of each event, aligning with Japan offices' core priorities.
You will collaborate closely with the conference manager, senior conference coordinator, and conference administrator to oversee the daily operations of office events, which include internal and external events at both global and local levels.
YOUR IMPACT WITHIN OUR FIRM
In this pivotal role, you will support event organizers as a core team member, orchestrating and delivering a diverse array of impactful events.
You'll play a key role in ensuring the seamless execution of events by consistently executing preparation and post-event processes. Through precise and efficient handling of essential tasks, this role supports the event team in achieving distinctive events with high efficiency and cost effectiveness. As part of this role, you will be responsible for procuring necessary event items and maintaining accurate inventory records. You will also collect and package required event items and equipment, arranging for their timely shipment. Furthermore, you will provide on-site support, which includes setting up the venue for rehearsals, ensuring the delivery of necessary materials, and managing efficient post-event clean-up.
Your role in setting up and operating event technology (IT & AV) is crucial for smooth event preparation. Your meticulous work ensures high-quality, impactful events, delivering distinctive McKinsey experiences for attendees and contributing to each event's success.
In this role, you will support the settings and operations for webinars and complex hybrid events by leveraging event technology. You will be responsible for setting up laptops, tablets, and interpretation devices to ensure seamless event delivery in advance. Additionally, you will need to understand the setup of audiovisual equipment and connections with PCs or iOS devices, and execute venue setups as instructed. Familiarity with core event technology items such as IT equipment, cables, and supplies is essential, and you will be tasked with preparing these items. You will also troubleshoot any event technology issues that arise from PC and IT equipment, gather necessary information, and report to supervisors for further troubleshooting if needed.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
・Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
・Native fluency in Japanese and business-level English required
・Experience in setting up and operating audiovisual equipment (e.g., microphones, speakers, projectors, screens)
・Experience in helpdesk to support variety of requests
