The Japan Solution Assessment team is looking for a Solution Assessment Specialist to lead partners in their adoption of the company’s assessment methodology in digital transformation and right licensing at scale.

The primary focus of the Solution Assessment Team is to drive datacenter, data platform and workplace modernization initiatives through assessments that meet the customer where they are on their journey to the cloud driving Azure, M365 and Dynamics 365 consumption for Microsoft.

The Solution Assessment team is always learning from our customers and partners to better serve their unique needs. We work with a large group of internal and external stakeholders, including executive leadership, partners, and industry analysts, to drive our strategy and execution, building on each other’s ideas to solve complex scenarios, because we are better together and can make a difference.

Responsibilities
This role is responsible for the 360-degree business relationship with Microsoft’s Solution Assessment key strategic partners. This role is responsible for engaging with the very highest-level ranking executives between Partners and Microsoft, building trust by sharing insights about how partners can capitalize on market opportunities with Microsoft.

Key Accountabilities:

Help partners grow their SA business in the Microsoft cloud by developing a comprehensive plan with the partners to identify short and long-term strategic goals and tactical execution.
Builds strong relationships with Microsoft and key partner stakeholders
Builds strong relationships with Microsoft and Partner Team
Identify an effective path to market with solutions and Go-To-Market (GTM) activities.
Track pipeline health on key deals to accelerate sales momentum and cloud consumption
Drive performance management through monthly/quarterly reviews to review overall business performance across the organization and to measure progress against the goals/KPIs
Drive continuous optimization of performance as measured by revenue, pipeline, consumption, usage, and partner impact.
Develop strategic content that will allow better positioning of our partnership internally and externally.
Key to this role’s success is the ability to think and plan and strategically, execute in a consistent model, and drive partner adoption of Solution Assessment offers at scale in partnership with the Commercial Partner Team, Field Leadership, and Marketing and Operations.

Qualifications
5+ years of experience in solution-based selling to senior business decision makers
Undergraduate or Master’s/ MBA degree preferred
Self-starter
Strategic business planning and execution
Experience executing change management in scale models
Microsoft partner channel experience with a passion to help them excel and map their potential to Solution Assessment objectives
Executive maturity and business acumen
Experience engaging C-level executives
Knowledge of Microsoft’s products & sales models
Technical sales background with strong business acumen and deep understanding of Microsoft field sales motion.
Technical knowledge of PaaS, SaaS and IaaS
Excellent sales management from pipeline management as well as the ability to improve the sales process
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans and to drive influence in a matrixed environment with partners
Strong analytical skills to (1) identify market opportunities, (2) quantify results and (3) execute on COE plans.
Data-driven, independent thinker who can operate within a broad framework.
Experience in problem solving leveraging internal and partner resources where and when needed to do what’s right for the customer and for the organization.
Experience in working with and through others to influence and achieve results.
Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, planning and leadership competencies
Passionate about partners and customers.
Professional Training and Certification preferred: Azure Fundamentals (AZ 900), M365 Fundamentals, Sales and partner management, complex sales training (e.g., Challenger Sales, Miller Hyman, Spin, Michael Bosworth, Holden, etc.), and sales methodologies (equivalent to MSP).
