Role Description & Responsibilities
- A line Professional Operations Specialist executes Operations processes and/or supports process management and project efforts. This individual may be part of a team of specialists operating within a region and for a particular product.
- Demonstrates a detailed knowledge of the processes, projects, systems, markets and instruments that influence their team.
- Analyzes and exposes ambiguous or complex issues, identifies root causes and proposes future actions.
- Ensures Compliance Courses and Policies are completed on a timely basis.
- Required to build and manage relationships on a day to day level with Business Unit partners, other Morgan Stanley infrastructure departments, and external contact points in Client organizations.
- You will be responsible for the timely and accurate trade capture and checkout
- You will need to resolve trade discrepancies with counter-parties by liaising with Trading desks and Sales desks
- You will be responsible for monitoring and processing trade life-cycle events
- You will be responsible for producing, controlling regulatory reports to multiple regulators
- It is also critical for you to control, reconcile and resolve the trade processing exceptions on a timely fashion
- You will be required to work with Technology for implementation of new processing platforms and system enhancements through our project team globally.
- You will also be required to work with Legal and Compliance to analyze new regulatory reform requirements

QUALIFICATIONS
Required skills
- Bachelor's Degree
- Bilingual (Japanese and English)
- You are able to handle multiple work streams and prioritize effectively.

- The candidate must be professional at all times especially under high pressure situations.
- Organizational Ability: Whilst the group is volume sensitive the exotic nature of some the products and the complex life cycle events require the candidate to be able to successfully organize and prioritize their work.
- Communication: TSG is a key point of contact for all areas of the bank, the candidate must be able to clearly explain complex details to other interested parties and articulate the Ops perspective to the desk, communication must be done in a professional and timely manner.
- Teamwork: Essential in a close team where each member will cover another in their absence. Knowledge sharing and assistance is a requirement to flatten out unequal workloads that may occur across the desk
