As a Development Technologies Tools & Automation Engineer, you will be determining the quality of the Xcode IDE, with a varied range of responsibilities. Your efforts will help to improve the developer experience by ensuring quality releases of our software.
You'll be most successful here as a proactive engineer who thrives in a supportive, respectful, and balanced work environment with interesting and challenging problems to tackle. You have excellent judgement and integrity with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
The role's responsibilities include:
• Maintaining and monitoring our CI system and filing actionable bugs when there are issues
• Determining the daily quality of Xcode builds based on automated testing results
• Creating and maintaining internal tools in Swift that drive the quality of Xcode
• Working closely with our Engineering Project Managers escalating issues effectively
• Collaborating with our engineering teams debugging and solving difficult issues with Xcode
• Collaborating closely with teammates on code reviews and daily handoff of critical work
• Cross-functional communication with other teams
You will be part of a small team working across time zones in California, Japan, and the United Kingdom. Your work will be done during the normal Tokyo work day with handoff from Cupertino in your morning and handoff to London at the end of your day.

応募資格(必須経験など)
Key Qualifications
A positive and respectful attitude
A passion for providing reliable services at scale in cloud environments
Superb collaboration skills with excellent written and verbal communication
Excellent trouble shooting and problem solving skills
Familiarity with performance testing or XCTest
Prior experience as a DevOps engineer, software engineer, or tools & automation engineer
Proven ability to self-manage large projects and meet deadlines
Ability to ramp up quickly on new technologies
Always iterating and seeking new ways to automate repetitive tasks
A working knowledge of UNIX
English fluency required both written and spoken, no Japanese skills required
Previous experience with application development in Swift, Objective-C, C++ or C is helpful, and considered good transferable skills
Education & Experience
B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
