Main Responsibilities and Tasks:
1. Deal Origination
• Relationship building with major target clients
• Formulation of innovative solutions to client issues on a proactive basis
• Project identification and preliminary analysis
• Leading pitches to clients
• Industrial/ Sector research into opportunities
Deal Execution
• Co-ordination and management of internal credit approval process involving:
i) submission of detailed credit requests (in English);
ii) discussion and satisfaction of the credit chains' queries and issues with the transaction; and
iii) implementation of applicable internal procedures.
• Co-ordination and management of external deal execution process with client involving:
i) cash flow modeling and financial analysis tasks;
ii) term sheet preparation and negotiation;
iii) technical and market related aspects;
iv) project document review and analysis and negotiation;
v) finance document preparation and negotiation, ability to review and negotiate Japanese and English documents;
vi) risk allocation generally and specifically within the transaction documentation; and
vii) liaison and involvement with the Syndication process.Co-ordination and management of other sundry responsibilities:
• Cross selling of other SG products
• Portfolio monitoring
• Internal reporting duties

Technical:
Qualifications and Experience required
1. 8 years working experience in a reputable bank or a financial institution in Japan, with project finance and ECA finance background.
2. Strong background in sectors including Power, Oil&Gas, renewable energy or infrastructure.
3. Strong relationship, business development, financial management and team player skills.
4. Willingness to be innovative and creative in approach to financing needs and possession of a wide corporate financing experience
5. Strong negotiation/ marketing/ presentation skills
6. Strong credit risk assessment skills
7. Strong competence in financial modeling and financial accounting and cashflow analysis techniques
8. Native Japanese in speaking and writing, and strong English language skills
