You will work with McKinsey consultants to conduct end-to-end research in response to specific requests. In this role, you'll research, analyze and synthesize key client questions as well as identify data, information and analyses to support problem-solving efforts and targeted industry research. You will also synthesize findings by preparing McKinsey-formatted end-products through models, presentations and written communications. You will act as a thought partner to client teams and clients. Over time, you will proactively develop and codify knowledge on new, emerging topics that are relevant to McKinsey and our clients in the industry together with your research colleagues around the world. There is flexibility to hire at the junior capabilities and insights analyst or capabilities and insights analyst level depending on your qualifications. You will be based in Tokyo, Japan as part of McKinsey’s Global Client Capabilities Network (CCN) which includes more than 3,000 diverse professionals delivering distinctive client impact and fueled by a culture of innovation. Analysts in our Automotive & Assembly practice receive exposure to leading companies including manufacturers, suppliers and startups in areas of transportation (passenger cars, heavy duty vehicles, urban mobility, etc.) and industry (machinery, construction equipment, etc.). You will be part of the market research engine for a global management consulting firm committed to helping organizations create change that matters, supporting our clients’ most challenging operational and strategic questions. You will work with a large group of industry-shapers on disruptive trends such as autonomous vehicles, connected vehicles, electric vehicles, shared mobility, sustainability and more. 応募資格(必須経験など)
Bachelor’s or master’s degree from a premier institution preferably in automobile or engineering related areas
2+ years of professional experience
Experience in automotive, machinery or related industries; market research or consulting is preferred
Experience as securities analyst or industry research analyst at a bank, researcher at a think tank, market research company or consulting firm; employee at other research-related function in business
Strong knowledge in the automobile industry preferred
Excellent problem-solving, analytical and quantitative skills
Solid understanding of financial, economic and general business concepts and terminology
Ability to work proactively and independently as well as in a team
Strong computer skills including proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Strong multitasking skills; ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Willingness to work on a wide variety of research topics in a highly demanding and results-oriented team environment
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills; native Japanese proficiency
