You will independently lead workstreams on our engagements and contribute to knowledge initiatives within Private Equity and Principal Investors practice. In this role, you will have regional exposure (across geography, across industry) as well as the opportunity to build deep functional capability around due diligence and other topics related to investors. You will grow into an expert role, leading teams on client projects including due diligences. Your career growth from there on will be to an associate partner role which will involve playing a greater leadership role within the practice. Client project work typically includes gathering and analyzing information, formulating and testing hypotheses, and developing recommendations for presentation to client management. From there, you will implement those recommendations with client team members. You will work across other private equity/investor engagements including portfolio companies, firm strategy/organization and market scans. You will be based in our Osaka or Tokyo office in Japan as part of our Private Equity and Principal Investors (PE/PI) practice. You will be an integral part of a client service team that serves a cluster of PE/PI clients. You will work with analysts and engagement managers on project teams to drive client insights – including on due diligence, portfolio engagements and other client-based efforts. 応募資格(必須経験など)
Bachelor’s degree with consistent outstanding academic record; advanced degree or MBA/master's degree in finance is preferred
2+ years of experience at a transaction advisory, corporate M&A, private equity or strategy consulting firm with exposure to investors and market & business due diligence processes
Intimate understanding of the due diligence process having done at least a few diligences across various industries
Strong business sense and good understanding of investors’ transaction life cycle including market and business due diligence, and value creation planning
Excellent problem solving skills including the ability to disaggregate issues, identify root causes and recommend solutions
Excellent analytical skills; ability to understand the relevant analysis required to prove a hypothesis, gather information around it and make informed/logical assumptions where required
Strong financial modeling skills (e.g., industry/market sizing, growth driver analysis, company revenue model, etc.) for building and validating business projections
Ability to work with and coach effectively a diverse group of team members
Flexibility, patience and an understanding of fluid, demanding and unstructured environments where priorities evolve constantly and methodologies are challenged regularly; ability to work under pressure and deliver on tight deadlines
Fluency in English and Japanese
