JOB DESCRIPTION
You will be accountable for the revenue growth and continued expansion of the Agency Securities Finance (ASF) trading franchise in Japan, working closely with the regional trading team to implement and promote the ASF trading strategy onshore. You will also work closely with ASF senior management to measure and track success and will act as a primary contact for global stakeholders for queries specific to Japan as well as partnering with onshore Sales, Relationship Management, Controls Partners and Legal.
Job responsibilities
Act as an Subject Matter Expertise for the Japanese equities & fixed income securities lending market.
Have responsibility for all trading aspects relating to revenue generation across Japanese assets, owning and managing the trading book appropriately.
Have a strong understanding and awareness of regulatory and internal risk and controls policies.
Maintain an acute awareness of the market environment and provide relevant and timely commentary to stakeholders to ensure transparency and optimal communication flows.
Establish new relationships, and strengthen existing, with trading counterparties both domestically and internationally.
Partner with Sales and Relationship Management to support client opportunities as well as leverage technology and analytics to optimize trading and portfolio management opportunities
Work in close collaboration with the regional trading head and APAC trading leads to implement the strategy for the Japanese Agency Securities Finance franchise.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Bachelor’s degree or higher
Fluent in Japanese and proficient in business level English
Minimum of 7 years of relevant trading experience
Proven record of meeting deliverables.
Ability to manage relationships at all levels, internally and externally
Strong quantitative and analytical skills
Ability to communicate concepts and ideas, tailoring messages towards different audiences.
