Community Development works across Citi’s businesses and functions to catalyze positive social impact in communities around the world. Through Citi’s equity investing and innovative financial solutions as well as strategic grant making of the Citi Foundation, Community Development is working in new ways to effect positive and enduring change in the communities we serve.

The Community Development Senior Manager accomplishes results through the management of professional team(s) and department(s). Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas

collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function. Requires basic commercial awareness. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Has responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness and delivery of end results of an area. May have responsibility for planning, budgeting and policy formulation within area of expertise.

Involved in short-term planning resource planning. Full management responsibility of a team, which may include management of people, budget and planning, to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary and terminations and may include budget approval. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits.

Responsibilities:

Management and ownership of contribution and grant budget to develop innovative solutions in Citi’s priority areas.
Lead and convene community partners and influencers to identify consistent community needs and champion Citi’s efforts and support to address these issues.
Identify and understand Citi businesses and how to leverage their respective product sets for community development programs.
Management and ownership of all activities for Citi’s Global Community Days in Japan leading employee volunteers.
Responsible for internal and external communication activities for community development related matters.
Create and deepen a portfolio of local relationships and community development organizations that position Citi as an innovator in financial inclusion and community development.
Participate and coordinate in qualified activities that include delivery of financial capability activities with non-profits & schools and positioning of Senior Management on nonprofit boards.
Support Citi Japan’s DE&I related activities.
Represent Citi at community meetings and internal and external visibility opportunities for community development area.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.


応募資格(必須経験など)

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5-8 years’ experience in community development work, nonprofit management, public policy initiatives, philanthropy, or banking/lending experience.
Experience in innovative program development, charitable contributions and/or Foundation grant writing
Fluent in both Japanese and English

Education:

Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience
