POSITION SUMMARY
A Private Equity Analyst will be integrally involved with all aspects of the private equity investment process, including: sourcing and evaluating potential investments; performing due diligence; handling negotiations; structuring and closing transactions; monitoring and implementing improvements at portfolio companies; exiting investments; and interacting with the firm’s investors, clients and limited partners.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Closely interact with other KKR businesses such as the Client and Partner Group, KKR Capstone, KKR Capital Markets, and KKR Asset Management
Learn and follow the dynamics of the industries covered
Build relationships with management teams, the firm’s senior advisors, as well as external advisors and industry experts
Identify attractive investment themes and opportunities
Gather and synthesize industry and market data
Provide extensive analysis on potential investments, including in-depth financial modeling
Manage the due diligence process, including overseeing legal, tax, and commercial diligence advisors
Draft and present oral and written materials to management and investors
Monitor and report on portfolio company performance
Develop and support operational initiatives within portfolio companies.

QUALIFICATIONS
2-4 years of professional experience, preferably in a leading investment bank, or private equity firm
Genuine enthusiasm and curiosity for investing
Strong understanding of fundamental business analysis
Outstanding academic record
Superior analytical and financial modeling skills
Solid grasp of financial concepts
Exceptional written, interpersonal, and communication skills with attention to detail
Team player with a maturity that enables the candidate to contribute to a collaborative and constructive work environment
Self-starter and motivated with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work both independently and within teams
Unquestioned integrity, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to teamwork and excellence
Language fluency (Japanese and English) is also essential.
