Citi Securities Services offers the full spectrum of products including Fund Accounting, Investment Accounting, Fund Administration, Middle Office Services, Performance and Risk Analytics, Transfer Agency, and Custody across multiple jurisdictions.

Japan Security Service Technology Head is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department in an effort to establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to drive applications systems analysis and programming activities.
Responsibilities:
Manage/develop multiple teams of professionals both in-country and offshore to accomplish business delivery goals and ensure team adheres to best engineering practices
Develop and execute on project management best practices to ensure high quality delivery of business solutions and regulatory and compliance commitments
Own the execution of all technology governance required forums and processes
Influence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions, as well as communicate with external parties as necessary
Provide technical leadership in the design of highly complex systems and drive strategic implementation of local, regional and global systems for Citi Japan.
Review current SS system landscape and drive to modernize systems and align with global strategy.
Providing Architecture support for Strategic Initiatives for Japan SS Technology.
Engage with Strategic Initiatives to help scope and shape those initiatives to ensure the outcomes are aligned to the Citi’s Engineering and Architecture Practices (EAP), including formulating detailed boundaries, connections and deployments.
Partner with Regional/Global platform owners to ensure Risk and Control items in the regions are under check.
Champion engineering excellence by actively promoting and governing the use of development standards and principles.
Own, manage and apply architecture governance on systems inventory, lifecycle management (EOVS/EOL) on IT assets and reduce technical debt.
Ensure change is managed with appropriate controls, documentation, and approvals including implementation of new and revised regulatory requirements
Research and resolve issues, provide recommendations, and escalate to senior management as needed
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:
6-10 years of relevant experience in the Financial Service industry
Demonstrable experience in architecture patterns enabling digital transformation, platform modernization, cloud onboarding and footprint simplification.
Experience as Applications Development Manager
Experience as senior level in an Applications Development role
Ability to build strong relationship with stakeholders including users and other related functions
Ability to work under pressure and manage to tight deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
Demonstrated leadership skills
Proven project management skills
Basic knowledge of industry practices and standards
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Education:
Degree in computer science, computer engineering or a related field, Master’s desirable.
Master’s degree preferred
