About the Role
Equity Operation is responsible for supporting Morgan Stanley's institutional clients and other MS business divisions to provide wide range of support related to their entrance of the business with Morgan Stanley, trading activities, settlement process and business enablement.
Key Responsibilities
§ Support of the Cash Equity business in Tokyo, mainly focused on Japanese Equity
§ Manage trade processing and exception management to settlement
§ Maintain a program of continuous process improvement
§ Liaise with other Global Operational Groups, Finance, Legal & Compliance and Technology on any matters concerning Japan Equity
§ Assess and implement the process changes to adopt new regulatory requirements and to facilitate business initiatives
§ Provide Risk and Metrics Reports

Qualifications, Skills & Requirements
§ Financial Industry Operation experience preferred
§ Cash Equity Operations and/or Client Services/Settlements function preferred
§ Have proficiency with English and Japanese communication
§ Have strong communication skills both oral and written
§ Be able to handle multiple work streams and prioritize effectively
§ Be able to look for new opportunities actively for self-development and career progression
§ Be able to show dedication to learn from experience and mistakes; actively seek out feedback and adjust behavior accordingly
§ Be able to identify the right levels of control and measures required, building a strong yet flexible workflow.
