Department Description
Fidelity’s Japan business has almost 50 years of experience in providing solutions to meet the goals of our clients. Today Fidelity in Japan manages $60bn on behalf of clients including Wholesale clients, online brokers. pension funds, life insurers, endowment funds, family offices, sovereign wealth funds, and individual investors.

Purpose of the Role
This position is responsible for contributing to our FIG business development and relationship management efforts. Accordingly he/she will work closely with Business Developers and/or Relationship Managers in support of a number of assigned clients/prospects, responding to ad hoc inquiries, undertaking market research, and preparing for client meetings.
Key Responsibilities
This position has frequent interaction with FIG clients and will be expected to conduct analysis, initiate research, and respond to inquiries on a wide range of topics.
Incorporating product knowledge with firm awareness, he/she will be required to effectively communicate client expectations with a variety of internal constituents including: investment administration, legal and compliance, portfolio management, product management, client administration, trading and other functions. Some travel may be required.

Experience and Qualifications Required
Minimum 5-10 years of professional Sales experience, with basic investment and capital market knowledge
Previous, direct experience developing as well as maintaining long lasting relationships with top tier institutional-FIG clients such as Mega Banks and insurers is desired
Native Japanese speaker and strong verbal and English skills are required
Sound business judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to express oneself in both individual and group settings are a must. Likewise, the ability to communicate in a creative manner is a required skill set.
Passionate for FIG business development, relationship management and investments.
Knowledge on the global capital markets and alternative markets or possess a strong interest in acquiring such knowledge.
Desire to work in a team-based and collaborative environment.
Proactive and can take action
