About this role
We are looking to hire a Portfolio Manager to drive our expanding Japan Fundamental Fixed Income Portfolio Management team. Based in Tokyo, the Portfolio Manager will be responsible for delivering alpha generation to Yen fixed income focused portfolios and strategies. The successful candidate is expected to serve as an ambassador for the team, clearly identifying and communicating the team’s investment theses and Japan macro environments to both internal and external stakeholders. This role will report to the Head of Japan Fundamental Fixed Income (Yen fixed income team).
Responsibilities:
Lead and contribute alpha generation for Japan fixed income portfolios, with a focus on rates relative value, based on our stated process and philosophy of analysis;
Undertake day to day portfolio management responsibilities of Japanese fixed income portfolios;
Collaborate with global fundamental fixed income colleagues to share our macro-economic views and insights as well as opinions on the outlook for Japan markets;
Partner with the Product Strategy and Client Business teams with respect to existing client relationships and building new active Yen fixed income business;
Generate market views and content for use with clients, prospects and internal constituencies;
Drive expansion of the existing Yen fixed income investment platform and building scalable investment processes, maintaining and partnering teams in Trading and Investment Operations;
Participate in the internal risk management process surrounding client portfolios and suggest improvements;
Serve as a resource for, and share information with, other investment professionals at BlackRock;
Be an ambassador for the Japan Fundamental Fixed Income team.
応募資格(必須経験など)
Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years of experience in Japanese fixed income active portfolio management;
Proven portfolio management skills and strong performance track record
Excellent analytical skills in macroeconomics, monetary and fiscal policy, and the yen long and short -end interest rate markets;
Strong knowledge of risk analysis on fixed income portfolio;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
Effective team player and management experience will be a plus;
CFA/CMA and/or post graduate degree preferred;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Japanese and English.
