RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as the head of security for the Asia region.
Responsible for creating, implementing, and leading key security operations, investigations, threat of violence, and background screening services for the Microsoft Corporation. Also, lead a team of Regional Security Managers for all physical security operations in Asia.
Cultivate excellent relationships with internal business partners such as Finance, HR, Legal, Compliance, and Risk along with regulatory agencies and local law enforcement to ensure the sharing of information, as well as their awareness, trust, and support. Act as a lead point-of-contact with law enforcement in security operations, investigations and threat management issues affecting the corporation.
Direct and oversee physical security operations, background screening, investigations, documentation, case management, reporting, and resolutions. Lead and manage cross-functional Microsoft physical security operations and investigative personnel in the detection, investigation, and remediation of security incidents. Investigations may include workplace violence, background screening, proprietary information losses, company policy violations, and other criminal or conduct-related acts.
Recruit, select, train and coach Global Security subject matter experts in the areas of operations and investigations, who consistently reinforce excellence in physical security operations based on Microsoft policies. Ensure appropriate staffing levels and scheduling to manage labor costs while maintaining outstanding security investigation services.
Plan and manage the annual budget and allocate resources.

Manage security suppliers in operational support capacities to ensure mission objectives are being met, including quality of service, delivery, pricing, reporting, and customer satisfaction.
Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with executive teams and public and private sector partners as part of Global Security's overall strategic plan. This position has regular contact with all levels of Microsoft staff, managers, employees, suppliers, local, federal, and international law enforcement and intelligence agencies, and public and private sector partners.

Qualifications
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
15+ years of demonstrated work experience that includes executive level leadership in corporate security, and/or public safety with a proven track record of driving business outcomes.
Minimum 7 years in a people and team leadership capacity with similar function and scope; proven ability to build self-directed teams, influence and drive change across functions and private-public partnerships.
BS/BA degree required or equivalent industry experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Operational thinker and problem solver with excellent analytical and reporting skills.
Proven communication abilities to drive and maintain credibility, generate trust, and form alliances with internal and external stakeholders and partners.
Experience working with Intelligence and protective teams.
Experience with Public/Private Partnerships.
Understanding current and emerging risks facing corporate leaders, high profile personalities, and the technology industry, including current and emerging digital innovations and trends.
Exceptional executive communication and interpersonal skills with the proven ability to transfer knowledge and inspire a growth mindset.
Broad understanding of the physical security and protective industry.
Knowledge of and ability to use the full range of Microsoft Office suite of products.
Knowledge of physical security technologies, software, systems, integration, and the cloud.
Must complete and pass a background check.
Ability to travel as required.
