Tesla is seeking a Country Sales Manager for residential energy. As Sales Manager, you will expand Tesla’s business in the Japan region. Your core responsibility is B2B sales of Tesla residential and small commercial energy products. You and your team will develop, maintain and grow a productive network of customers such as 3rd party PV installers, distributors, energy retailers, builders and developers etc. In addition, you will drive business development opportunities in the region.
This is a multi-faceted role where you are expected to have knowledge of the product and market for energy storage, along with great interpersonal communication. Our team is highly collaborative, creative, passionate and has a shared desire to break new ground in a constantly shifting technology and market landscape.

Achieve ambitious sales growth targets within Japan for Tesla’s residential and small commercial energy products
Activate the channel(s) to promote awareness and sales of the Tesla Energy product suite
Initiate/coordinate specific marketing/sales initiatives e.g. around national or regional government incentives
Act as a product ambassador within your assigned channel(s)
Guide development of dedicated marketing/sales material and activities needed for accounts’ success
Shape and build out the go-to-market strategy and approach per channel for Tesla’s residential Energy’s product suite in Japan
Identify and qualify channel partners and negotiate sales contracts
Manage pricing and volume across multiple channels in a structured and consistent way
Ensure performance standards for sales and installation partners in terms of end-customer satisfaction, installation quality and other relevant metrics are met or exceeded
Manage a team of account managers
Help recruit and hire highly qualified sales professionals to grow the team further
Ensure individual team members are set up for success, and achieve or exceed sales targets
Understand, define, and disseminate functional requirements from the market and channel(s), coordinating with internal business and engineering team members
Provide regular forecasting and reporting to management; embed data-driven culture within a team of account managers
Coordinate closely with various internal stakeholders that are vital for your team’s success such as Sales Operations, Engineering, Service and Technical Support
応募資格(必須経験など)
応募条件
5+ years experience in Sales/Business Development
Working knowledge of grid/utility markets, as well as grid-tied technologies, such as PV, wind, demand response or storage as it relates to residential and small commercial applications.
Experience in leading teams of high-calibre key account managers
Expertise in launching new products/markets
Ability to understand and translate technical requirements and policy/regulatory information for commercial applicability
Experience in managing business critical relationships at a cross functional level
Ability to prioritize work and execute several projects and tasks in parallel
Fluency in Japanese and English
