The Camera Semiconductor Technologies group is responsible for all research, design, development, test, and qualification of core technologies that enables revolutionary features on Apple products, such as Face ID and LiDAR Scanner.
As a key member of our Test and Validation team, you will play a crucial role in the delivering the best user experiences with our next generation semiconductor devices.
Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Primary focus is on engineering level characterization to support design validation and failure analysis.
- Design, build, and qualify optical characterization system involving illumination sources (LED, lasers), and a variety of free-space optical elements (lenses, gratings, prisms, etc.).
- Regular data summary and presentation to internal x-functional team and senior management, to guide engineering decisions.
- Support production tester development and bring-up.
- Contribute to core technology IP development.
Cross-functional Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Process Engineering, Optical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering to deliver state-of-the-art solutions.
- 5~10% international travel expected.
応募資格(必須経験など)
Key Qualifications
5+ years work experiences in one or few of the following areas: laser, optics, device physics, camera
Familiarity with typical optical lab equipment – power meters, OSAs, camera / detectors, oscilloscopes, spectrometers, motorized stages.
Demonstrated capability to collaborate with international teams and suppliers through high-volume mass production.
Excellent verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
A strong team player, and independent self-motivator.
Hands-on experiences aligning laser components is a big plus.
Experience working with automated test equipment is a plus.
Experience with lens design or active alignment is a plus.
Experience with mechanical design is a plus.
Education & Experience
B.S., M.S. or Ph.D. in Materials, Physics, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, with 5-10 years industry experience preferred.
