My essay to Harvard was very personal and talked about the struggle my mother and I had adjusting to the death of my father. He died when I was 13 and his death left my mom and me in pretty bad shape.
My GPA was a 4.0 and I graduated valedictorian of my high school.
In terms of activities, I was involved in Health Occupations Students of America, Student Council, Independent research, National Honors Society, The National FFA Organization, STEM Club, a local Tutoring Program, hospital volunteering, Red Cross volunteering, and interning at a private practice.
Though I held leadership positions for all four years of my high school career, I believe my research is what made me stick out the most.
